ITEM 6 - PRESENTATION FROM BILL PITT BEACH NOURISHMENT COMMITTEE FINANCE CHAIRMAN
Kill Devil Hills Commissioner Bill Pitt, Chairman of the Beach Nourishment Committee's Finance sub-committee made a presentation on the proposed plan for financing the non-federal share of the Northern Dare Beaches Shoreline Protection Plan and discussed both the construction costs and the long-term maintenance costs of the project and how the Beach Nourishment Committee proposes to pay for these important infrastructure improvements. See attached financing report. *** See footnote below

*******	The financing plan as presented by the Beach Nourishment Committed makes various assumptions. Final assessment amounts are subject to construction cost variances and availability of funds from the various sources. As of 04/24/04 this plan has not been formally adopted by the governing board. It is currently undergoing review and investigation of alternate revenue sources.
